Update on Life!

So much has changed since the last time I have posted. Probably because it has been 8 months since my last post...lol. So in a nut shell, here is what is going on.
I have a new job with the same company. I love it. It is still not my passion, but I am much less stressed out and therefore much happier. It also requires less overtime, so I have more time for my passions like cooking and baking :) My best friend has asked that I make her cupcakes for her wedding in August, so there will be lots of posts with how that goes. I have never done anything like that before, so it is going to require a lot of practice!
Paul has decided to get his GED and go to back to school. He is thinking he wants to get into Industrial Maintanence and Green Energy Management, but not completely sure, yet. He has plenty of time to decide while he studies for his big test and decides where he wants to go to school. To stay focused on that, we decided it would be best if he left his job. Unfortunately, this leaves us as a one income family in a society that requires two. We are nervous but excited, choosing to think of this as an adventure! We will take all the money saving tips and ideas anyone has to help us through this adventure!
We are still trying to start a family. So far, no luck. I have some minor health issues that need to be worked through first, although our biggest hurdle seems to be finding a fertility doctor that wants to listen to what we want and explain what is going on. We will be starting with doctor number four in two weeks, so hopefully this is the start to a success. We have heard a lot of good things about this one, so fingers crossed :)
Just a warning, I have started with a book program Blogging for Books. This is a book review program through a publisher that allows me to read free books (one of those money saving things!) in exchange for my thoughts on it. As we are not extremely exciting people and I like to read a lot, this may be a good chuck of this blog for the time being. I promise to post more exciting things as they come up, though :)
Just a preview for the year, all the things we have planned and will be blogging about:
- Raised bed gardening
- home improvements
- canning in the fall
- family vacation to North Capitiva Island in October
